Just the other day took out my car for a drive and was curious to see the knock reading on the scanmaster as I'm still new to it and trying to learn the whole knock scanmaster readings well here's what I saw if I'm cruisin I don't see knock even if I get into it a little bit but as I press the pedal down more watching my boost increase I'll see like 3.4(knock) or more but of course I let off because I don't want trouble I don't hear anything but I understand just because it's not heard it's not happening so according to the scanmaster it's gettin knock I have an adjustable wastegate and I beleive it's turned way down to stock but even then I see numbers on the scanmaster so I back off so I'm thinking is my car starving for fuel? All my upgrades are in my sig, I would like some advice or ur personal input as to y my car would read knock or a understanding of y its doing this with stock boost and pretty stock motor thanx
 
I seen alot of knock before I replaced my fuel pump, and added a hotwire kit. It is the first mod anyone should make.

Knock is very bad and needs to be eliminated. It is also very difficult to find the causes especially with only a scanmaster. I have chased this problem for years and only just solved it. Turning the boost down to stock means lengthening the wastegate actuator rod. Make sure you do this. Brad
 
So turning the boost down was ur solution to ur knock ?

No. Turning the boost down until you find the source to the knock. My solution was removing the aftermarket waste gate actuator and adjusting the knock sensor. On my car the knock sensor was too tight and was making contact with the transmission housing. The after martket waste gate actuator was hitting the hoodliner. Both of these caused false knock. Try the "Knock checklist", post 33 in the sticky. :cool:
 
Are you able to adjust the timing and fuel on your chip? Pulling some timing, and adding some fuel on the chip has worked well for me in getting the boost up a bit. Im @ 14psi with very little or no knock WOT depending on the weather. Car feels strong and is running great.
