knocking and turbocharger TA66

Ok so the knocking which is not coming from the engine. Sounds like the turbo and it startswhen the engines warms up. The boost on the dash doesn't move any more as if the turbo isn't working. And the car runs hard afta this knocking starts... So can this mean the turbo is bad? And is the turbocharger ta66 a good turbo?

Take off the inlet to the turbo and make sure that the wheel spins freely and is not touching anything.
