No, they were predominatly LS cars. The guy that put the event on runs a shop that focuses on turbo LS fab so hence why there was so much. I had the only car without a v8.

SignUp Now!Well I have a fully machined 3800 series II block with main caps, ARP head and main studs and ARP cross-bolts, bored .20 over. I have a second block that has a full rotating assembly. It will be machined next spring. The main thing I looking to get out of that block is the crank and balancer. I'm building engine before I get a car to put it in or in a few year swap out the 3800 series II block for my 109. I would really like to keep my 109 block in my GN I have right now. However, I hope I can find a roller and do a 3800 series II and be able to run in the 9s reliably without having to worry about damaging the block. I know that it is a craps shot with the 109 block. No, they were predominatly LS cars. The guy that put the event on runs a shop that focuses on turbo LS fab so hence why there was so much. What would really be cool is if a forged crank was available to go with forged rods and pistons. Then see if this block could surpass the 109.Cool!
I do want to do a max effort stock bottom end turbo 3800 drag setup to see what actually brakes on these. Im guessing rods and pistons go out around 500hp.
Yeah, after building both a old 3.8 block vs these series II they are way beyond awesome. Factory roller cams, strong mains, cheap starter engines.
Only problem is getting a good trans with the goofy bolt pattern.

That is what I would love to prove. There are a million of the series II/III block floating around, it would be if they could be put to use and show their potential.Mid 8's have been done on stock crank with FWD with about 900 HP to the wheels. I pretty sure the 3800's are more stout than 109's.
Looks like the guy in the top pic doesn't like the sound of a v6 lol!
