Thank you, today I learn something that doesn't involve GN. ha,ha,ha

I cannot get powerlogger to communicate with the car. Had my laptop cleared and software reinstalled. I have reflashed. Have the latest Powerlogger software. I'm no computer guy.:D

Who cleared and installed the laptop.

I had a new work laptop I tried to install PL on. Turns out my admin had set a policy that only software that has passed a windows certification can be installed. PL isn't certified (nor do I expect it to be, the process is quite expensive) so it wouldn't load the drivers.

I doubt this is your problem but I'm just throwing it out.

Good info amiga. Usually a window will pop up that says "Program not Windows certified, would you like to install anyways ?".

Are you guy's getting any error messages when you plug into the pl?

Still no luck. I can buy a new laptop or I can go FAST XFI and end this suffering.:D I have Bowling Green and Reynolds right around the corner. No laptop. No information. No racing. I'm sure Bob Bailey will be in Bowling Green. Maybe he can get it to connect.

The software part of Powerlogger seems to cause many people problems. Once you have it working properly it is wonderful. I depend on it for logs. You just can't have enough information.

You could also go with one of our EBL SFI-6 Flash ECMs. Need to add a third ECM harness connector and re-pin, then end up running a newer more capable ECM with data logging, analysis capabilities and a host of other goodies.

I hate the laptop laying in the seat but 1899.00 for a FAST ill live with it, I had been waiting for a SD card setup to log on the stock ECM.It will work just need someone that a little GEEKI to help

I had this same problem when I Installed the drivers for Windows 7.
It was not reading the proper port.
I removed the software uploaded it again from fullthrottle. The laptop has to be plugged into the powwerlogger for it to search the port. I forget the exact name of the port but after I reselected the correct one it was working fine. Hope this helps.
