I do like the 1-2 tire spin. I almost never spin from a start - except of course I have 2 DARK BLACK marks in the driveway - I just had to do a test burn out with my new Hoosiers. :D

i used to do a burnout once a day when i was younger and stupid. now if i do a burnout its from a roll and by mistake, like yesterday for instance on balled rear tires i roll out of a street and try to get up to speed before the traffic from the high school catches me, at full boost around 40 mph or so the tires broke loose and the back end walked around alittle. the funny part was there was a riced out eclipse 6 cars lenghs behind me. should have seen his face when he passed me. :D

the last real burnout i did i power braked all the way down a street near here and ruined my tires and that was about 2 months ago. i did some doughnuts a month or so before that and blew oil all over my engine (bad pcv valve) those 2 times pretty much put a end to my distructive behavior. i realized that i want to keep the car more then a year so i backed off.

with my combo i like to hit at a 40mph and burn my 275-60-15s:D
it can be a hand ful someimes

think you have it bad, ive got 225s on the front and 235s on the rear, talk about a wild ride.

THIS IS SO TRUE "Of all the forms that a street-driven car can take, the sleeper look has to be the most fun"

I am currently using both my GN & 82 regal. I get all the racer want to be's trying to run the GN. It beats most stuff it encounters on the street.
But since my 82 regal is a real POSHIZT in primer people stay back or never pull out. But the best was the dusting of a 86-89 TPI Trans AM last week.

SLEEPERS R more fun :)

although i don't have a TR or even that much power, i love burning the tires on my Nova. I slowed down alot since i first got my license, but i go through a tire (i have the 1-tire-fire) about every 4 or 6 months. I try to save my tread for "special occasions" lol. It's a wonder i can even burnout with 2.41 gears! :p

Guilty as charged

Everytime I get my TR washed at the local hand wash shop.
A 5 second burn-out is the best way to remove the slippery liquid wax and excess armoral from the tries:rolleyes:

I don't light 'em up every chance I get, but I'll break 'em loose occasionally or do my best attempt at writing my name in posi marks. ;)

It kills me when people come in here and ask "How can I tell if my Posi is bad?" Come on... don't we all do the occasional posi check at the light to make sure they're both turnin'?

I'm also guilty of cleaning the treads when coming out of a car wash. Also, when I'm about to go to the tire shop for my annual tire renewal :D I'll ROAST the old tires since it's the last chance I'll get before my money is spent. One time I did a burnout so bad in front of my house that one of my neighbors knocked on my door to alert me that my car was smoking badly and something MUST be wrong. I opened the trunk 15 mins later and smoke poured outta there that got trapped. :)

I used to do burnouts in my first GN alot but with my current one I have yet to do a burnout. However, if I taking off hard from a light or I am driving at 20 MPH and get on it the tires still break loose and leave some marks so I know my posi is in good shape.

Ditto on what gn85 said. Once the tires need replaced then the front drive shaft comes out of the sy and I get my bud to run the vid camera to record me punishing the old tires before new ones go on.

If I have a toy thats RWD only then yes, I boil em every now and then when I feel the urge (which is often :D ).

I just put some no name 225's on the back of my car (225's in front as well) in place of the nitto's. I put the skinny's on to make sure i leave my signature at my high school before i graduate, and the that would be one expensive signature with the nittos! I never really realized how much fun doing burnouts are, so i've been doing them on the average of one every other day now :) One thing i've noticed though, is that these tires make waaay more noise than the nitto's ever do. Any little spin and it's chirp chirp. The drag radials almost never make any noise...anyone experience this?

I dont do it as much as I used to. Only to show off for a buddy who hasnt seen the car in action or something like that.

My DR's are as bald as can be, and I am not ready to buy another set so soon:eek:

I had to mark my territory so there's two 100 foot black markes in front of the house :D

my dad did that for me infront of the house  punk, wasting my tires..

but i've only really done one major burn out with my car, that was proabably 4 months ago, i lit the tires up for something like 45 seconds, the marks are still there, infront of my friends house. as i was leaving he told me to lite them up, so i did, i knew the burn out was bad when the smoke was coming in my windows... the told me my car dissappered from site.. they didnt know i left..

then i guess all the melted rubber powder that i left be hind, all the kids that were hanging out at my friends house ran over to it, scooped it up and was like, 'here's his tires' 'oh s**t thats hot!!!'

lame brain friends......... ive always wanted to try a doughnut in my car, but im afraid of braking something and i really dont want to waste these tires.. i wanna save them for some time...

I usually baby it, but once in a while I press into it on a 2nd gear roll, just because I can. I realized it could do that just a few weeks ago, did it repeatedly, and I came home with a huge grin. :D I've never driven a car that strong, much less owned it AND it's a very mild combo!

I LOVE IT!

I don't light em up as often as I'd like. Can't afford to break it right now. :( Even so, the hammer gets dropped at least once every time out. :D

theres nothign i like more than burning rubber, but untill i get the posi (any day now, can't wait!!!) its just one big long black mark. My all time favorite is rolling thrugh a dip filled with a little bir of water then flooring it, kinda like top fuel :D I haven't done a burnout in forever, trying to save money on tires and gas, last time i ran the car hard i got about 6mpg, all in town-no highway, and that really gets expensive.
