Being the nice guy I am I'm only want compensation for my cost of a new controller not a entire new unit.

I then get a reply from Pete.

I have to go back to work right now. I will post the rest later on.

I'm going to step in here too.

What we have here is a problem that is rooted in the manufacturer.

When the LC1's work, they work fine. When they don't they are a pain.

Pete and I installed the original unit in his car at the TB.com event. We did it at Richards shop.

It worked intermittantly from the very start and after fiddling, re-calibrating, and rechecking everything, the decision was made that it was flaky.

So it was removed and returned to the manufacturer for remedy.

Pete got the PLX due to the bad taste in his mouth.

When the unit returned from Innovate the assumption was that it was a new unit, considering they are not serviceable as far as I know.

Pete didn't need it, he had moved on.

So it changed hands, with the understanding that it was new.

Now its in Rick's hands and it doesn't work.

So everyone has a bad taste.

Nobody will be happy.

Pete is a good guy, and as far as I can tell did business honorably.

Steve V's reputation is stellar, this should not be on him

Everyone else is a middleman, and is not really on the hook for this as they just cut-n-paste the add from they guy they got it from.

So it goes with swap meet bargain hunting.

Rick: send it to me, I'll get it fixed.

Bob

Thanks Bob but you do enough. For the sake of our friendship, I'll let it go.

If nothing else, I learned a valuable lesson.
