These products may need to be destroyed resulting in severe hardship for dealers and manufacturers in the motorcycle industry. Along with the current state of the economy, this may be a hit that dealers and manufacturers will not be able to recover from."

What I can't figure out is Power Wheels contain about 8 lbs of lead in their batteries... are they going to be banned too?

The amount of lead we were exposed to as kids is 1000X what today's kids are exposed to, even those that suck on chinese made toys.

I'm totally serious, too. We used to swim in lead. And yet, somehow, people seemed to have more common sense back then.

NAAAAaaah, pretty sure it's just the Lead they give a crap about! Why else after YEARS of the CDC trying to get every last ounce of mercury from public hands would GE employee's get let go so foreign sources could supply us with congressionally mandated CFB's. Makes NO sense at all. I got No problem with a little lead, chewed it off the crib rails myself. BTW, was that a Dem or Rep or just a ELITE congress that mandated that?
