On February 10 large inventories of motorcycle and ATV products that present no health risk to children could be rendered retroactively illegal and future products prohibited from sale. These products may need to be destroyed resulting in severe hardship for dealers and manufacturers in the motorcycle industry. Along with the current state of the economy, this may be a hit that dealers and manufacturers will not be able to recover from."

It seems as tho they could have come up with a better plan that started with early warnings to prevent the industry from catching it on the chin.

As long as they dont chew on the paint they should be fine...

Yeah, somebody really screwed up on this one..

What I can't figure out is Power Wheels contain about 8 lbs of lead in their batteries... are they going to be banned too?

This is our big government, nanny state Democrat congress in action.

The great thing about it is people will finally begin to see what idiots they truly are.

I rode my Honda Mini Trail 70 thousands of miles back in the late 60's early 70's using leaded gas and I think I turned out OK.;) This is the craziest thing I ever heard.

The amount of lead we were exposed to as kids is 1000X what today's kids are exposed to, even those that suck on chinese made toys.

I'm totally serious, too. We used to swim in lead. And yet, somehow, people seemed to have more common sense back then.

8th grade science teacher used to pour mercury on our lab desks for us to play around with. Now the DEP and Hazmat would have to be called.

NAAAAaaah, pretty sure it's just the Lead they give a crap about! Why else after YEARS of the CDC trying to get every last ounce of mercury from public hands would GE employee's get let go so foreign sources could supply us with congressionally mandated CFB's. Makes NO sense at all. I got No problem with a little lead, chewed it off the crib rails myself. BTW, was that a Dem or Rep or just a ELITE congress that mandated that?
