I have a situation on a car that recent had a convertor change. Car is about an hour from me so I have not got my eyes on it yet. It aparently leaks 3/4 drips in about 30 seconds down the front of the pump. Seal was reused and was about 1 year old,so is the teflon coated pump bushing. Convertor went in nice,I don't think I hurt the seal or bushing(done this a lot :)) anyways could it be a pin hole at a weld in the neck area on the TC itself. It's 9x11 by Art carr which I beleive is made by TCS. Opinions/experiences welcome :)

they are supposed to be pressure tested but who knows........

It's possible to have a pin hole in the weld where the snout is welded to the cover. Or the snout can crack where the slots are cut to drive the pump, it's a common 200r issue. The leak can be so small its hard to see bubbles during the pressure test.

Looks like the solution is to maybe install dye the remove it and look for cracks....if none are found reinstall old one and watch for leaks.
