Alright, .. whats needed to do this job? How do I remove the plug/harness? I'im assuming there is an o ring? the whole thing is somewhat loose. is there a way to tighten it inside the case? can this be reached without dropping valve body. Thanks for replies.

The connector uses an o-ring seal. There is no way to "tighten it" To remove it you need to first drop the pan, disconnect the wiring harness inside the trans that goes to the gear switches and TCC solenoid from the back of the connector. To remove the feed through connector you need to push the locking tabs in on the connector and pull the connector out of the trans case. Replace the o-ring and just push the connector back into the case. Make sure the mating surface is clean.

thanks for reply, i did all you stated above even tried different o ring sizes, the plug just does 'nt hold itself in place securely. I can't see an o ring sealing with so much slop in how it seats, all tabs are still on plug , heres a few pictures

the oring looked to be in good condition when i removed it... replaced anyway still loose
