Just wondering if anyone has a diagram that they used to trigger an LED to let you know when the secondary pump kicks on.

Or is it just as simple as running a wire from the connector on the harness to the led and grounding the led?

Thanks in advance.

you'll need to add a resistor in series with the LED to keep it from blowing.

I did something a little different. I had an extra voltmeter already set up in the car when I was running a boost-a-pump. Removed the boost-a-pump when I went to the double pumper. Wired in the volt meter to the harness so it will show when the secondary pump comes on. Used GM connectors on both pump wiring so I can switch it to either pump if needed.

not a bad idea.
I already have everything for the led setup so I am going to try that out.

it's not that critical. Somewhere around 100 ohms should do it. If you still have a radio shack, I think they stock little LEDs with a built in resistor. If they have one that says '12V' on it, that one should be good to go.

LED's are polarity sensitive , switch the + & - .

An online LED resistor calculator which may help someone in the future:
