need to make a list of the people that still have these seats and give the list to jacks and see if he will make these covers so there availible. they cant be hard to make. places around here want 1,000 a front seat and 1,300 for the rear seat, using fake leather and close tan material.

The guy that redid mine said they were some of the hardest seats he's ever done. He's been doing it for 30+ years and regularly fabricates interior pieces (seats, consoles, dashboards, etc) for restorations and custom cars. Take a look at the leather section of the seat and all of those little leather pieces that have to be cut just right and sewn in just right so the seat looks correctly. There is a lot of time that goes into those seats. I got my front two done for $650 with real leather, but reusing the back portion of the seat and the headrests. Plus I worked for the guy so I got a good deal on them. Luckily my rear seats were still ok.

Good Luck.

Got some in great shape yet .......... but always keeping "Plan B" in mind.

I'd suggest finding a set with good leather and just have the cloth replaced. Usually the cloth goes long before the leather.

(Try posting on the CCGSCA board. I believe Jason Stasiak has a set of fronts with good leather for sale.)

mine are done and don't have alot of money to get new ones or get mine redone now, but saving money. i can recover them myself but i need covers to do it.

all i did when i worked for lexus is recover seats and other interior work, not to mention ALOT of rattles.

i am trying to do a restoration on my 84 gn using the original interior. the next thing is a body off restoration, starting in the winter.

newwguy do you have covers or the whole seat?

I got those seats too. My passenger and rear seat are messed up. But my driver seat is in fair condition.

I've heard of these seats but what do they look like and what makes them so special. I have an old set of GN seats that are a little different with several lumbar adjustments and the such but I'm not sure they are what you are talking about.

I have them too. Mine are in sad shape too. would be interested in some new covers as well......................

My rear seat is in good shape. The leather on the front two are good, but the cloth is bad in the usual places. I've got a guy who can do them if I can find the cloth material to redo them. Anyone have any resourses?

Only T intown,

I have pics of the seats on my site, check it out.

Yeah thats what I've got. I've had them setting in my basement for 5 years or so now. They're in pretty sad shape too. Good foam but rotten cloth and cracked leather. I got them when I bought a N/A regal for some GN body parts that it had like hood, spoiler and a few other parts. How rare are they? I know they are very comfortable. Come on guys you can't tell me you all don't have an auto seat or two hanging out in your basement or garage.

I purchased the fabric somewhere and had a local upholstery guy sew my old leather with the new fabric. I had him switch the leather from the drivers side to the passenger side since it was worn a bit more. Looks great and he did it for 300 bucks for the pair.

I would like to see covers made however, since mine will need replacing after another few years take their toll.

Kirban Performance Products used to sell replacement cloth material. Don't know if they still do. Anyone know?

I got my seats off of e-bay about a year ago. For the age, they were in great shape. The driver's seat is pretty faded and the passenger seat has some seperation from the leather and stiching. I'm trying to do a little restoration by putting some leather conditioner on them. The fabric is pretty faded as well. I have this link for some fabric: http://store.yahoo.com/yourautotrim-store/lsligsad.html
The link still works, and there is a phone number at the bottom. Hope this helps.

That fabric pattern looks good but the light saddle looks tan to me. The RPO codes indicate Light Driftwood and Med Cognac for interior colors. Even the Med Cognac fabric they sell looks tan. Maybe it's just the pictures.
