I have 275/50/15's on stock 87 GN wheels. They look really good on there. I guess its kind of hard to see in pic. I'll go out to the garage and take a pic...

They fit very nice. Alot of controversy on the fitment of 275/50's on a stock wheel. Mine fit pretty well. I put them on, and they are pretty close to the frame rail on the inside. After driving around with them, the driver side rubbed a little. Im guessing probably mainly around turns and such. Spaced the driver side a little, and all is well. Never had to do anything to the passenger side. no rub at all. I get a lot of compliments for the looks of them being as wide as they are. I would recommend them. Oh yea, and being MT's, they hook awesome, track AND street.

These pics are of MT 275/50/15 drag radials on the stock 7" wide GN rim on my car. I included a photo of the distance between the tire and the frame rail. Brad

Because I like the stock wheels. IMO, they look the best on these cars. Getting them widened get pretty costly, and, as the pics show, the tires fit pretty well the way they are. Not everybody wants aftermarket wheels on their car.

Those 275's don't look that bad on a 15x7" rim, I thought the sidewall would have more of the flexed out look. I might try the 275 next on my 15x7" rims, just not sure what 275, the 50 or 60 series?

the 50's are 26" tall (stock tire height), and the 60's are 28" tall

so for you guys with the stock wheels, did you replace your springs or anything in the back or would i just be able to slap some 275/60/15s on the rear and call it a day?

You dont have to change anything. I put mine on with some 20 year old springs and they were fine. I changed the springs later, and didnt notice any difference to the way the tires sat, just ride quality and the ability to launch better. I put the variable rate springs on.

When I 1st got the car it had BFG Radials, I think they were 265/60's
