lifter taping

the car runs fine no taping till i get up on some boost .then the lifter start taping after it sit and runs for a few minutes the tapping gose away. so it will only do it if i get on . i have replaced the lifter ,rebuilet the oil pump changed the push rods diffrent oil ,changed the grade to 15 w 40 .still have the tapping can ant one help? dont know what to do

Chuck, areyou maintaining oil pressure when you go into boost?

Meaning does the oil pressure jump to 60 PSI and stay there? Or does it drop?

Would seem if it held 60 PSI at WOT you shouldnt have a problem.

yes the oil psi is staying up . i have put new liffters in changed the oil put addative in the oil . tighinged the rocker shafts blew out the push rod to make sure they were not cloged????????

i'm going to throw this out. i would have sworn i had a lifter tapping and some valetrain noise. been driving me nuts. some one told me to un-hook the speedometer cable and sur-e-nuff it cleared right up. put some white lube on the cable, but that didn't help.
