Light Driver Module

What does this item do ? It is on a loose wiring harness i am trying ID. This device is located near the glove box area.
Thought i knew alot about these cars, but never seen this device.

It is for the SES/CEL light. The carb'd engines use a light driver module between the ECM and the SES/CEL light.

Well I guess one of these dashes from a carb car. Thanks for the answer, would have never got that.
I guess if i going hack a harness this is the one to do.
