I have been sitting on lightning shifters for about six years now and I am think about putting them in my grand national . Can people please give me their experiences and pictures . Is it worth doing .

I got a chance to play with them when my buddy parted out a hurst olds. I actually sold them for him on this board. They look cool but there are much better shifters out there for performance. If someone gave me a set, I'd sell them and spend the money elsewhere. They were a sales gimmick IMO.

I have a set in my car, they work good but if you go to a car show be ready to explain them 1000 times while your there lol

I am not looking for perfomance . I kept my car stock for five years . I have decided to make it mine.Need Boost do you have pixa and can you give any advice about the install

I love them. if you need money sell them if not put them in. They are better than most shutters out there. They weren't a sells gimmick. It was a well made shifter. Can't miss a gear or hit reverse.

I like mine. They are different and as mention get a ton of questions. Always someone that says, "Wow.... check it out this car has a Jericho trans in it".

I had a spare console cover/shifter surround I cut up, actually a whole other console I refurbed at the time of install. Im taller so the longer leggedness gets me and the left handle hits my leg that stole a little leg room for me but I drove the car from ST Paul MN to BG last year and it wasnt terrible.

Use the HO cable bracket for the trans pan rail and NO washer/lock/horsehoe clip thingy on the cable there like the stock one. Do use the clip on the cable mount by the shifter.

Sometimes the linkages and such may need a little adjustment for first to engage/or park to go all the way up/collar over for key release if it doesnt go into first dont force it cause you will stretch the cable and they arent cheap.

Test the shifter for proper ops before install.

You will have to trim the inside of your console some but with the lid on you will never see it if you want to go back one day and you will need to get or make a new top plate for it Mine also had a plate from a buick welded on bottom already so it was a bolt in I am in atlanta this week for some training and this is the only pic I have with me here on this laptop.

The only thing wrong with Marks stuff is it will make you want to buy more. I have several of his items in my car and LOVE them all. TOP NOTCH !!!!!!

VERY you can find the three speed versions if your lucky but the 4 speed like you will need only came in the hurst olds in the 80s far as I know they never sold them to the public

I had a set in my 85 Hurst olds. I REALLY wish I still had that car. The shifters are pretty cool. If I didn't have a column shift TR, I'd have a set in mine. I have a spare 4 speed set in my garage that I got when I bought the car but no, I'm not selling them lol. They are almost impossible to find like Need Boost said.

every rare now and then they pop up on ebay but the last set I seen was a long time back and they went for over a grand on ebay
