Hey guys,
I was looking at this car and the owner says it’s a 1987 turbo t Limited. Is this the correct interior? I thought it had to have the puffy seat and the other style door handles. thanks in advance for your help.
I have seen Limiteds with both types of seats. The best way is to check the VIN. If it's real the 4th diget in the VIN will be "G" ,the 5th diget will be "M" & the
8th diget will be "7".
No Limiteds came with that interior. What I have learned over the years is that if a car has wide chrome at the bottom of the doors or cornering lights people think it is a Limited, and it does not work that way.
above advice all good key is to check VIN numbers as Limited had a completely different set....
That interior you show is not a Limited interior. Limited interior was a plush pillow style seats either in cloth, or tan or grey leather/vinyl combo and all had the other style door panels with far better pull straps over the Regal style.
If owner insists its the real deal, you would need proof that somehow that car got made that way for someone high up at Buick.....in that case with written available proof you would have a pretty unusual example. Frankly that would be a long shot in my opinion.

O.K. guys, It is confirmed that this car is not a limited, but here is a copy of the window sticker. So I guess this is the original interior of the car. Has anyone ever seen a regular Turbo T with this interior? Is this rare (55/45 bench seat)?
That seat combo is not what most would consider rare......however, fo rmost old guys like myself those seats are more comfortable over the common bucket seat full console version that is found in most turbo regals.
What would be rarer based on what I have owned/seen would be the solid bench seat.
Or, going one step further back in 1986 what is extremely rare is either the tan leather pillow sets or the grey leather pillow seats in a T-Type 1986 model.
