I have a line lock kit that is hooked up in the car but the solenoid is bad. What size/company should I go with to get a solenoid that works? I don't know what line lock kit this is.

I went with the Biodno unit from summit racing. It was only like $35 and it works well.

We only use the Hurst kit here in Arizona, have had great luck with the product and no failures.

I had a Moroso that was pure junk. I've never heard of anyone having any problems w/ the Hurst unit. The Hurst is rebuildable if I remember correctly.

Later,

Steve.

That Hurst one is so expensive. Jegs has one that is fairly cheap, does anyone know who makes that one? Or I might just go with the Biondo, for the price you cant go wrong.

The Summit line lock kit IS the Hurst kit, but with Summit's instructions in it and no Hurst decal. It is right around $100, which is like $30 cheaper than the Hurst unit. The additional $30 multi-install kit has lines and a bunch of adapters - I found it useful and I'll keep the extra parts.

I have a picture of it installed if anyone wants.

Jim

I have used the Biondo unit several times

They work just as good as the high dollar units.

If you can post a pic then we could tell you what brand it is and you would be able to just get another and bolt it up directly.

I was going to give up and buy a new one anyways so I went to a performance shop and looked around and to my surprise the TCI is idenical to the one that is in my car. So I'm off to install it.
