Checking the line pressures on my stock 2004r today. Per the ATSG manual, my line readings at min. T.V adjustment are within specs:
Park & Neutral@100rpm= 60psi.........spec is 56-64psi
Reverse@1000rpm= 112psi..........spec is 105-118psi
Drive and 3rd@1000rpm= 60psi.....spec is 56-64
2nd and 1st@1000rpm=130psi........spec is 123-138psi
Now when i go to check the pressure at FULL T.V. setting I got got a 170psi in Park... The spec suggests 120-135
I haven't check the other gears, but could this high pressure reading at FULL T.V. or WOT be the cause of the slipping 1st/2nd gear shift?
I have the T.V. cable adjusted properly per the GNTTYPE website instructions.... Anything I can do to bring that line pressure down?
