little 6 symbol on top of intake....

I just got a ported intake from another member on this board. It came off of a regal t type, and it has that little red circle instead of the 6 symbol. I was just wondering if there is any way i can remove that, remove the one form my old intake, and just switch them. I still really want that 6 on there. Sounds kind of picky, but oh well.

it's a metal piece on the back so you can probably pry it carefully or pour a little solvent around it and let it soften and then remove. then you can epoxy the new one in.

A little history can be helpful here. The term Grand National is only a paint job option. The correct name for these cars is Regal TTYPE. I have an original TTYPE with the GN option and my intake has the red piece on the intake. Buick randomly either put on the red one or the 6. They also randomly changed the emblem on the stearing wheel-T, 3 shields or the 6. Brad

Get it cleaned at a machine shop it worked for me mine melted off
