I'm not very good at reading plugs yet, but I noticed on both sides of the motor, there was a small line of oil on the bottom edge of the plug (look at picture). Also, the gap was around 32.

I am running Autolite 23's.

Thoughts? The motor was rebuilt about a year ago and had fresh rings and everything installed.

Just FYI, I'm assuming the only way to really tell what is bad is to either have a compression check (it was like this on both sides) or check the valve seals. I just want to make sure that i might not be over-reacting.

plugs look dry shure it isn't a valve cover leak...looks like oil is only on the threads. If you are running higher boost 20#'s plus the gap should be .032-.033 so you don't blow out your spark...been there, very scarey when raw fuel explodes on your 3" DP with the dump open and you don't know what it is

they're gapped at .033

I agree with the leaky VC Gasket...If it was oil inside the combustion chamber it would be oil cooked onto the plug...

Mine look the same way(oil on the seat and threads) too except I trace it to the LS1 breathers being saturated and they drip down the valve cover and so on...
