I'am getting a little puff of black smoke on full throttle turbo operation & then goes right away during full turbo acceleration. If I floor it again the second or more times right away there is no initial puff of smoke at all. Is this just unburnt fuel built up in the intake chambers from non turbo use while highway cruising? The engine seems to run quite low rpms when the trany is in overdrive lock-up . The entire engine ,turbo,carb/everything are completly restored to stock and seems to run perfectly with tons of turbo power except for this little puff of smoke now and then. The carb metering and power settings are all set to specs.

Sounds normal for a C/T system. You need an EGT in the exhaust to make sure that you're running right. What other mods have been done to it?

What would a EGT tell me -could you explain more?
The only mods / upgrades are high output oil pump, all valve stem seals, new cam to repair front cam oiling problem in 83. I'am running a synthetic 10W-30 now with the thought it might alleviate the problem somehow but there is no change.

And EGT will let you know if the engine is running lean or rich most of the time. It's for tuning. There's more to the carb/turbo cars than you can even guess. Please visit the B4black secton and do some searching. We can give you more info on how to make the car run better and mod it.
