PULL THE BACK SEAT AND REACH IN OR USE THE POWER TRUNK OPTION  sorry caps lock was on...

1. Remove rear seat bottom cushion.
2. Remove rear seat belts where they bolt to the floor through the rear seat back cushion (giant torx bit).
3. Remove rear seat back cushion.
4. Remove sound deadener (i.e. acoustical) pad behind rear seat back cushion.

If you've never removed the rear seat bottom cushion it can be a little tricky. Kneel next to the car and look at the rear seat bottom cushion front bottom, behind where your feet would be if you were a rear seat passenger. You'll see the rear seat bottom cushion wire frame where it snaps into a sheetmetal "clip" welded to the floor pan. Push the cushion down and back at the front top as hard as you can. It will "unclip". Do that for both "clips", one on either side of the car. A flashlight and your knees may help. The rest is cake.

Don't ruin the sound deadener pad (handle it gently), don't get cut, and make sure the seat belt anchors are appropriately tight on reinstallation.

Any bad information on my part is the result of old age!

DITTO! ages ago there was a trend of words called "snigglets" or Words that belong in the dictionay but are not. the word was "Ignasecond" and the example was the moment youre closing your trunk and while glancing down seeing something your brain screams ..."MY KEYS!!!" Didnt have a key coffin hidden on my car at the time so jogged the few miles home and grabbed the spares.

-40

By the way, you really learn to have a spare set of keys after the 1st time you lock yourself out of your rig at -40 below in the middle of no where in the arctic. Standard practice to have a hide a key on your car in the Arctic.
Or else you spend alot of money replacing the window you kick out when your freezing your A$$ off.

i second that. i did it in January, Anchorage, -45 degrees.

Next time you guys lock your keys in the trunk all you need to do is jump the black wire at the trunk release switch with a 12v source.
