I bought a used Vigilante 3200 L/U convertor and I don't believe it's locking up like it should. I'm turning 2100 rpm at 55 mph and around 2700 at 75 mph. Is this right? I have stock gears and 26" tires. It seems a bit high to me and I've never felt it go into or out of lock up.

From those engine speeds you are giving it is not locking up.

You should be at 2100 at 70-75mph

There are a few things you can check. You can groung the TCC solenoid with the car off and listen for it to click, also check your switch at the brake pedal...try pulling up on the brake pedal while you're at highway speeds and listen for the motor to drop in rpm. If it does you can make adjustments to that switch to make it work properly.

OK, so my next question would be: Exactly how do I go about ground the TCC solenoid?
