Sorry to kind of leave the topic Vague. BTW this is for an LS1

Now i know lots of you have your own opinon about Logs and why they suck, But that isn't what i am about to ask.

Know very little about Turbo's but i have decide to venture out into the Turbo world and build my First Turbo car.
After Completely Fragging a 422 on the dyno , i have now started building an Aluminum 427.
With that said what size log? the plan is running a pt88 but again what size log?
3in log with 2in prime? 3in 1 7/8in? 3in 1 3/4in? 2.5in 2in? 2.5in 1 7.8in? 2.5in 1 3/4in?

i have done "some" reading on the matter and i have also contact some vendors but knowone has any real info. i know Real info will be hard to come by but any ideas will be taken into consideration
Thank You

?????????????

WTF is a "log"?? How about coming down to the commonly used terminology, so we can make some half way intelligent suggestions...

Instead of how headers merge into one, he's talking about the primaries coming straight out of the ports into a single "log" like ours do on the passenger side.

I have no idea what size log you need but are you running both banks separately and merging right at the turbo or are you running a crossover pipe and merging one side into the other the way the GNs do? That would make a difference as to what size you need.

Holy Crap it is you. did Dave Foward you the New American Flag i sent him? Got you stumped huh. I came up there With Dale Ashly a few Years ago when he Dyno'd that Rocket Block at MORE. I was At Dave's House last Week Fixing his Camaro....
Anyway this "Log" will be running Both Banks into it. But i know you GN guys are the Turbo Gurus. Do you think y'ing it at the Turbo is a better Design? i have this Question Also posted at LS1.com and LS1TECH.com BUT i feel the more" intelligent":D Coments would come from the Buick Fourms. Please Remmember i am a total Turbo N00B!

Got the flag "lady"!! Didn't put the 2 together..

Now I know what a log is.. My G/F mentioned seeing one the last time we were out to the drive-in movie together!!:D :D
Call me, and we can kick the header ideas around.

Chuck, Thanks for the help and in Steering me toward Cal i spoke with him the other day and you were right he couldn't be a nicer guy.

89turboTA, thanks for the link . i had that link a few years ago but i must have had deleted it and i have been looking for it for awhile.
My only Problem is it is going in a 98 Formula and my Working Area for the piping is much tighter:( . sweet ride you have . i do like how you "y" instead of running all the exhaust into 1 Mainfold.
interesting.
