Long time for trans to engage

Hi,
I have an El Camino with a TH200R4.
It has the problem that when I put it into drive, it takes ~4s to engage. I changed the filter, O-ring and oil in it this weekend but it didn't help.

Any ideas??

We refer to that as morning sickness. Does the transmission have a lot of miles?

It's most likely caused by worn sealing rings or hard lip seals in the forward clutch.
