As far as the controversy goes, I took it as just meaning that it was made by a bunch of idiots

I always look at the context of a statement before I make a judgement. There was no context because the author posted a one line incomplete sentence. We all know what he meant. If he meant it was built like a bunch of idiots then he should have said that. What about the guy that quoted the post and his only response was a laughing smiley face? I bet he thought that monkeys meant idiot also. Right.

Look at that house in the background. I bet there are tons of drive by shootings and violent crimes going on in that neighborhood.

Now wait a minute. I thought that "porch monkey" was the racial slur. Not "monkey". I've reffered to plenty of people as "monkey's", with no racial intent whatsoever. In fact I call my wife a monkeyhead all the time, term of endearment between us. (She thinks monkeys are cut. ) For us it just means you did something silly. Guess it depends on where you grew up?

i guess i don't get why people are so sensitive about things, i constantly get crap living in Illinois, and having Arizona plates. When ever i hear cracker or any other racial slurs towards white people i don't take any offense, but on the other hand you have to be careful you dont hurt little boys feelings. I guess i go with the thought since i was little "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"

Monkey can mean different things, but because typically African Americans are the ones who drive "donked" out G bodies such as the pumpkin mobile listed, the term "built by monkeys" to most would mean "built by blacks".

I don't understand why people think that being 'hood' or being a 'hood rat' and driving your car around to make it look cool means you gotta throw 20" rims on it, slap on a crazy paint job, and then put graphics on it. That's so dumb. And it really is sad.

I've seen plenty of guys from the badlandz of Philly driving nice Caprice's, Monte Carlo's and other cars. (Some V8's in there, not really any 4 cyls, that's mainly a suburbian thing I notice) And this is the thing, they didn't do really dumb **** to their cars.

Mostly this stuff goes on with guys who are just fools. Which is sad, since plenty of people are caught up in this thing called 'Hip Hop' culture. Ever since these fools like P-Diddy took over and started wearing flashy stuff, and its spilling over into the suburbs, where kids think that its tough to do stuff like that. When really, you get laughed at by everybody for doing it.

So on both sides, people laugh at these dumbasses.


Oh and. About the porch monkey, monkey comment. I dislike the usage of the word. Even used in a nice way, it's still a bit too racy. Just rubs me the wrong way, no matter how its used. Feels uncomfortable. Heck, I can't stand it when people use the 'n' word, black or white.
