how do you know it is just "rotting" there? because of the lack of a rear window and what looks like a gutted interior?

to me that says that it's in the process of being fixed up- maybe even either getting ready for or coming back from paint..

that being said- that Mustang looks like a good start to a project, except for the AOD trans..
