Lookin for 10's....will a 35-50 shot help?

Car has just ran an 11.44 @ 120 with 24-25psi with a 1.79 60ft and some turbo lag out of the hole. Looking for about 122-123 through the traps with better spool. Will a 35-50 shot do the trick as long as there is no detonation?

A 50 shot will eliminate turbo lag and could give you 4 - 5 mph. If your 1.79 60' is due to lag and not spinning the tires, it could give you .2 on the 60' alone so a high 10 is not unreasonable.

It was under my understanding that the faster your car is the less the shot will actually help you. For instance..... a 13 sec car with a 100 shot would pick up 8-10 mph in the 1/4 while an 11 sec car would only pick up 4-6 mph with the same shot. Is this correct? If i could pick up 3-4 mph with a 50 shot i would be extremely pleased.

I think the only way to tell is to try. If you have the nitrous kit try it. If you don't have a kit, you may want to spend the $500 on something else like a lockup converter with enough stall to lower your 60'. Again I don't know how many mph you will pick up but a 50 shot will eliminate any turbo lag!
