I have a couple of questions.... first off, I ordered my shurflo pump today from northern. now i need to get me some type of a pressure / hobbs swith. I went to napa today ... and they seemed a little confused on what i was wanting to do ...I ended up ordering a pressure switch 17-23 psi it should be in tomorrow morning.. not sure if its adjustable.... if not i think its going to be too high of a turn on point for my new d i y alky....
(might be good if i decide to go with a two stage system ) I do have access to a nos solinoid so i may decide to upgrade my simple system to a 2 stage .....

******** does any one know if the pressure switch on the low side of the a c system will work for a activation switch .. i believe that switch is adjustable.... "and there are plenty of those at the junk yard....:D :D ... any help would be welcome

thanks again....

Hey tacordes,

I use pressure switches from Carrolls Supercharging in NJ. They sell a $20-$25 adjustable switch that is available in 3 ranges (I think 1-8psi, 9-16 and 16-25?). You can adjust it with your fingertips and it has a lock so it won't move once you set it.

The switch has a 1/8 pipe thread on it, and you can get these handy brass mounts that the switch threads into, with barb fittings on the side for the boost line. Those are an additional $5 or so.

I think their URL is www.carrollsupercharging.com.

DMAN, thanks for the link but where do ya find individual parts pricing in their website?

ahhh they're not up with the times quite yet. There is a .pdf file of their catalog on the site, and it has the prices on there. Look under 'Gaseous Intercooling', then find the link for 'View our Catalog in .pdf'

Here's the link to their catalog that has the pressure switch. Its part #1331. It says 1-5 psi but they have the other ranges as well.
