If anybody has a high nine shortblock for sale please let me know. I would like to have the front cover with oil pump, balancer, and flywheel with the shortblock. I don't need the cam to come with it. Would like to know how many miles the block has and what you ran with it on the 1/4 mile, and let me know the set-up you had on the motor and who built the shortblock.

Thanks
Marco

Yes I saw this one and I was really interested in it, but the probe pistons were holding me back. Two of my friends had probe pistons in their non turbo buick cars and had problems with them.

Thanks
Marco

what problems did they have with the pistons? what was the application?

Hi Tom

Two friends of mine melted these pistons. Both cars were blower cars, one was an lx 5.0 with a stroker 347 and the other was a 68 chevelle with a 383 stroker. Maybe the pistons are ok but they are not very forgiving when something goes wrong compared to other brands.

Thanks
Marco

I just want to mention that I am looking for a 109 shortblock and not a stage motor.

Thanks
Marco

IMHO, for what you are looking for, I would just have one of the vendors from the board build you one. Weber does a short Block with all the forged goodies $5500w/caps and $6400 w/girdled. Then you will know exactly what you have and how many miles and runs are on it which would be 0.

GL!
