I am about to do a engine build new heads, roller cam, main caps, front cover, pistons and so on. I have an 85 t type short block that I thought about using for block crank and rods. Or do I tear down a complete 87 gn engine for the block crank and rods? thanks

if u can get an 87 i would, just to make things a lttle easier. the 85 t-type stuff is just as good though.

If you use the 85 block, you will have to drill it for the oil return line from the turbo. Or you can run a return line to the oil pan.
