Looking to buy a night scope......

What is a good model? Any of you have one?

I want to use it camping so I can see the bears and other critters from the safety of my nylon tent

I know Startlight scopes are the best but they are pricey.

Would like some suggestions from anyone who has one or has used one. What is good...what is crap...etc.

FYI, any of the night vision products we make that are available to civilians started life as military issue but slightly missed the spec that the DOD (dept of Defense) requires. They are then repacked in civilian issue monoculars and what not.

Not cheap stuff but its the best and will last several thousand hours.

Have like that Cadillac has, with the night vision. Just put a monitor on the dash of a TR.... voila!!

Seriously, that is a good idea for use and I never thought of that. I do a lot of camping and likewise hear plenty of critters roaming about. Would be curious as to what is out there and how close they really are.

That's just it. Price range is from 35 bucks for an IR scope with illuminator that lights up maybe 50 feet away all the way up to 8 grand for what my friend in the state police uses.....

I have to decide how much I want to spend and then see what I can get for that $$
