So im been looking into purchasing a Powerlogger and had a couple of questions as to what other items i would need to take advantage of the extra monitoring features, more specifically the wideband. Not sure if fullthrottle is the only one that carries them but they do offer the upgrade chip for the scanmaster so would most likely go with them.

What else would i need to hook up a wideband to the PL, just a WB o2 sensor and wire harness? If so where can i just purchase just those two items? If i were to lets say go with innovative LC-1 do i just purchase the sensor and the wiring harness?

I seen that TT has a 6.0 chip for WB appications is that chip necessary if i just want to monitor the AF readings?

As far as "external" devices that the powerlogger can monitor, you can of course monitor Wideband O2, MAP sensor, EGT (with additional amplifier), Scanmaster, and a number of other devices.

When purchasing a Wideband innitially you'll need the sensor and it's controller. All Widebands require a controller. You can't just go down to the local parts house and buy a sensor over the counter and expect it to work.

Where did you end up mounting the PLX box?

Kind of a nuisance having to hide another box compared to innovative having it all in the wire harness, then again with all the bad rep ive been reading might not be a big deal

I'd avoid the LC-1. I have way to may issues with mine. You can monitor fuel pressure and oil pressure also with pressure sensors from Caspers.

If you just want to monitor the A/F you do not need the 6.0. It has the ability to add or take fuel out to maintain a certain A/F ratio. You don't have to use that option of the chip though. I won't have to buy another chip when I do want that function though, I run one without a power logger or wideband. Its just like a 5.6 without the 1st gear fuel adjusment. You can monitor WB without the 6.0.

It's easy to hide, and with the 10' of cable that comes with it, your mounting options of both the sensor and controller are endless.

I'll try and post a couple pictures to demonstrate.

Picture one shows the controller box. Ignore the wiring mess, it's all cleaned up now. See that little white box behind the dash to the left? I put the controller up in that cubby.

Picture two shows where I mounted the sensor.
