don't hold your breath... GM re-upped the trademark on the "Chevelle" name a few years back- and even tried to sue the band "Chevelle" into changing their name- in order to make sure that they still get paid every time someone tried to sell something using that name.

Yea, and it will be made in China or Germany or Australia... Then shipped over here after it's watered down....

With 4 doors and FWD I dont care if they put twin turbos on it, just doesnt seem fun IMO. I dont think Buick could EVER produce a car like the Grand National again. You just can't compete with the body lines and style of them......period.

If they do, it better have enough steam to beat a new 650HP GT500 Mustang. That being said.... good luck.

Please oh please don't do what you did to the Impala and other cool cars from the past.

an Impala wasn't anything special until they slapped Impala badges on lowered 9C1 Caprices with 17" wheels and leather interiors for the 94-96 model years- up to that point, an Impala was just a trim level on the full size cars.. sometimes it was the top of the line, sometimes it was the bottom of the line. but an Impala was just another car sold by Chevrolet- which is what it is now.

If hey did actually try to profit off the Grand National name, they need to hire some actual car guys that are engineering the products instead of the nerds that have failed in the past with the front wheel drive low power cars they slapped muscle car names on. Everyone knows they would sell a ton of them if they made it a turbo V6 two door rear wheel drive car that looks like the 80's GN's but I dont think GM has the balls to try to get back into the market or spend the money on the project. Ford was the first to be on the ball with the Mustang in 03. GM took too long to respond and it hurt them. They want to market their Camaro and Corvette lines before any other super car becuase they are still stuck chasing the tail they'll never catch. I hope they do wake up and make something unique. I give Ford mad props for not taking the bail out and unfortunately GM made the decision to take them, which again hurt them. We shall see I suppose but I wont hold my breath.

I don't think I can completely agree with you...
