Loose heat shield driver side header

While I was installing my motor brace I hosed the engine down with simple green to clean up some oil to help figure out the source . I think it's the back valve cover seal btw...
Anyway I notice the heat shield off the header laying wedged between the block and header do I removed it.
Is it worth putting back ? If so how do I re attach it?

Have not had mine on for years. Are you a stock type person, if so then slap it back on.

Mine fell off years ago and wedged itself between the header and frame exactly as you described. Into the trash it went.

I wanted to keep it on after it fell off. Idk why? I used a large stainless hose clamp. It's been like that a few years.
