Am having issues with suddenly losing the crank sensor signal.

Cant really see a pattern why its happening.

Thought it was after a short drive. On restart , would run a moment & die. Then not start & no crank sensor light on XFI.

But now its dying while driving. No bumps, braking etc, just cruising & dies.

Replaced sensor, wiggled alot of wires while running, etc.

Wondering if anyone has had an xfi issue like this ?
Or caspers pnp box issue ?

YOu could have a pin pushed back at the box, pull on each wire at the xfi connecters see if any move.

Wiggled & tugged every wire at ecm & caspers pnp box ( & there is alot of them ). Tried every one @ ign module also.
Put car on ramps tapped crank sensor, mount & wires.
No stall.
Car was hot during all this.

Took a drive, nearing house under heavey throttle it popped & died.
No crank sensor light on xfi & no start.

Returned with tow & it fired right up.

WTF ?

The ignition module could be bad when hot and by going WOT you put more heat into it, when it cools down its ok. I have seen this before. All the signals get processed through it before they reach the XFI.

Norbs, you da man.
Swapped coil/module & it has not quite since.
Now just have to find the extra 200 HP that are hiding somewhere.
