Loss 2nd ,3rd and OD

After racing car at the track today it seems I've loss a few gears only have
1st gear for the foward gears. I still have P R N .

What could have broke this time. Anyone have any ideas. Tranny is a 2004R with all the billet parts.

Does it just stay in 1st or does it slip trying to go into 2nd? If it won't come out of first, you could have lost the governor spring.

put a gage on line pressure.if its over 200 the tv valve is probably stuck ,if not check pan for a governer spring throw out

What would cause tv valve to get stuck? Could it have happened if your spinning tires and (or) your in and out of the throttle trying to stop the spinning.

Also why would governer spring get thrown out. I thought the governer spring was pinned in.

Governor spring is only pinned in if your builder pinned it.

Might have thrown a check ball out of the governor also.

Well found nothing in pan. Looks like tranny has to come down now. What a pain these tranny's are seems if you look them the wrong way they give you problems.

Sometimes the spring doesn't end up in the pan it could be hanging in the gov. cover. If you have the pan off the TV is easy to get at.
