Paris aint so bad...but you do need to watch your step (dog dookie mines everywhere in some places) and stay alert.
Today I got approached 4 times by different people trying that ol' hey...I found this huge god mens ring next to your foot...here...you keep it....I need cash...whatever you can spare.
The first one got the ring into my hand and walked away...I knew it wasn;t gold...then she suddenly spins around and comes back with the...hey...i'd at least appreciate a small reward since you get to keep the ring bit...that's when I set the ring down, told her, it's worth more than anything in my poket (with a wonk) ad walked away. She kept calling....just ignored her.
A within 10 minutes I'd been approached thrice more and actually watched them bend down and set the palmed ring in front of me as if they just found it...just smiled, waved and kept walking.
Then as watched ahead, I saw some other tourist gettin fished in...as I walked by his wife I told here the ring is fake, it's a scam, just give the ring back to him and walk away.
She starts hollaring at him and the dude flips me off as I looked back at him.
In hindsight...I probably should have left it alone...a lot of these street urchins are working for the local Armenian gangs...so I went into high alert status and just watched my back for the rest of the day.
