low mph

My mph has been a little slow and I never knew the problem until somebody mentioned about tire size. I had 9 wides but they were 25 tall. My best ET was 13.21 @101.9 1.86 60ft. I managed to score 26 talls for a great price thinking this would help alot.

Any opinions are welcome.

I have a generally stock setup, exhaust was dumped on the run mentioned above.

Taller tires will help as would locking the converter and new valve springs.

i must have the opposite problem ijust ran 13.998@101.094 with a 2.287 60ft. should i be running low 13's?

ya seems to me you should. All you need is a good 60 and the et will drop as far as I know. You almost have a 2.3, if you can get a 1.9 or better watch your et fall dramatically. At least 4 tenths but i think more, a tenth at the 60 is closer to 2 tenths at the top.

I use to have the same sort of problem until I got fed up and launched her like I hated the car. Then all of a sudden I went from a 14.10 to a 13.37 just like that.

Try a launch, with a hook and see
