Bet ya 100$ thats your problem!

Blue is crap I wouldnt use it for anything on my car. Plus you should always use the right gasket there is a reason they make them
I use a little 3M Weather strip adhesive to hold them in place (not much just a dab and only on things like valve covers or oil pans never a oil pump! thats just dumb! but then thats just my .02 lol

I may get a wild hair this weekend and pull it. I looked at it some today it doesnt look that bad to pull. well at least compared to the last on i pulled on my old mustang with the 429 bbf and canton oil pan


I dont like to use any kind of silicone based product ive always used a gasket shellac on gaskets that need to be held still and seems to work great unless you have something that needs the extra space taken up.

Yeah, pull your pan and take a look. If your pickup isn't blocked, think about replacing the bearings. Only takes a couple hours and will cost you about $50.
