Lower Radiator Hose

I need a lower radiator hose for my 84GN. Do I need to get this from somewhere special, or can I just go to Autozone or Advance Auto

There is nothing special about the lower radiator hose. It is the same as the NA 231 and was the same for the 81-87 model years. The parts stores would be the way to go.

Don't remember exactly where I got it, but either Checker, Autozone or Pep boys...

Believe it or not, but I think the upper rad hose is the same as the one on the NA motors as well...

It was different on the 86/7 GN/TR motors, though...

I picked up a hose from Advance Auto today. It looks exactly the same as my old one, but the old one has a spring inside to keep it from collapsing or being sucked shut. The new one doesn't have any reinforcement. Am I supposed to remove the old spring and put it in the new one, or do I need to get a different hose w/spring.

the new one may have a 'spring' imbedded in the rubber (maybe not?), but regardless, just use it, it's fine!
