Outside of lowering the floor in the seat area of the car, not alot of other options out there. You might be able to relocate the mounting holes for the brackets to mount onto the floor of the body alittle further back. When GM designed the cars they weren't thinking really tall people were going to be driving them, so they didn't really focus on that aspect too much. The height of the cabin area isn't as high as some vehicles are from the same era, so it's not made to be as comfortable for really tall people by the design of our cars from the assembly line. The design team of the regals and such didn't really think about stuff like that way back then, they were thinking about other stuff. Hope someone finds a safe solution to the issue for those that are a bit taller than the engineers put into the design.
