Is it possible to lower factory front seats some (non power seat.) i fell like I am sitting to high up

Like to lower mine a bit. I am little tall and wonder if it can be done and not be noticeable.

It would consist of cutting the base mounts and re welding them but I did not tell you to do that.. It can be done but trying to find someone to cut and weld on a seat frame is not easy. Thats a huge liability

Not really.

If you found a good welder/fabricator they would actually be stronger than stock and in his case more comfortable.

If he lived near me I would do it for him and be confident that he would be happy and that the seats would be better than factory strength wise.

There are tons of fabricators in his neck of the woods. He should have no problem finding a reputable person that could do what's needed for him.

Im looking into this as well. Im almost 6'6" and with redone seat cushions it has aggravated the need. Im looking to go lower and back further.
Brainstorming here.......I wonder if a bracket can be made that the front part of the bracket bolts into the factory location where the seat bolts down and makes the new seat mount drops down and back from the original....hmmm. Im gonna take a look at how the seat bolts up tomorrow. Not sure if that will lower it enough. May have to wind up cutting the actual seat slider frames to get several inches down.

Outside of lowering the floor in the seat area of the car, not alot of other options out there. You might be able to relocate the mounting holes for the brackets to mount onto the floor of the body alittle further back. When GM designed the cars they weren't thinking really tall people were going to be driving them, so they didn't really focus on that aspect too much. The height of the cabin area isn't as high as some vehicles are from the same era, so it's not made to be as comfortable for really tall people by the design of our cars from the assembly line. The design team of the regals and such didn't really think about stuff like that way back then, they were thinking about other stuff. Hope someone finds a safe solution to the issue for those that are a bit taller than the engineers put into the design.
