Yes they do...

I remember this year in OSW, everybody was getting rid of what they had and replacing them with the "Mickeys", the line was long.

It also helps when you are in one of the best hooking tracks throughout (Bradenton).

I wonder how the "PAMPERS" smelled after the joy ride;), not to mention the KNOCKLE in the throat:D (hard to swallow)... NICE !

I wonder if that is the same drag radial Camaro that was at OSW (Worlds Fastest Street Car Nationals) three uears ago ? (yellow), he blew all four tires and "other" damage along with the tires when he landed...he went up hard, came down, got on it again, went up higher, got off of it and SMACKED the hell out of the Camaro when he came down, got out of the car, climbed on the roof, put his arms up and THE HOUSE CAME DOWN !:)

In any event, Steve, he's a Louie Lopez wanna-B ;)
 
I got to see that in person, He did that sat afternoon,Looks like a fun ride,Not sure how my gn will launch with the big tires and 20#+ launch:D

Roy, I'm not sure if this is the same car... The car is from Miami built by PRD www.precisionracingdevelopment.com... It is the first nitrous car to run 7's (7.87 @181mph w/ a 1.29 60') on DRs...

damn those are some nasty launches. got a get me a set of those tires for the spring. low 11s, high 10s here we come.:D
 
I'm surprised all the glass and sheetmetal didn't fall off that car when it stood up, considering what rattletraps F bodies are...

From what I heard he bent the bracket for the parachute and broke parts in the front end of the chassis (I'm guessing the Kmember was damaged and he probably scraped the oil pan pretty good)... Supposedly the car is in the chassis shop getting fixed for an upcoming race...
 
And stock suspension none the less... We are building a V6 DR car, (Turbo T/A) hopefully it will hook as good!

Bill, Yep stock suspension.... This is the second 3rd gen F-body (both are Camaros) to run in the 7's on DRs w/ a stock suspension/torque arm.... Both are using BMR www.bmrfabrication.com suspension pieces to get the job done and of course both are on Mickeys...

Please post some pics of this Turbo T/A on your website as that sounds like a really cool car!:cool:

I have a Turbo T/A (yes a real one!) that I am putting together for drag radial classes, single turbo and of course stage2(actually this is the backup engine for my race car!)! Currently it is still being stripped down and will be off to the chassis shop. I wont have the power to run with guys like Rick Head but I plan to be a serious player in the local1/8 mile stuff,especially in the Maryland Street Racers Assoc. I would snap off a couple pics but currently it is covered in snow! I want to try to get it down to 3000# and keep the steel doors. I will keep you guys posted.

That is the coolest thing I have seen in probably a month (and the last thing was in my bedroom at the time ;) )


This along with the photo in the back of the latest hotrod have made my week, two brutal wheelstanding thirdgens

That's friggin awesome, I've got a nice vid of a yellow TR doing that, he made it all the way down the track to a mid 8 sec. run if I remember correctly. Just amazing to see that kinda power though, makes one smile.
