I recently purchased an 87 T-Type and have in the stable a well modded GSX Eclipse. One of the first things I did with the Eclipse was to free up intake restrictions by removing the MAF and going to MAPS system, I currently have an AEM EMS on it.
What I want to know is how far can a T-Type go on with the stock MAF? My gut tells me get rid of it and immediately go to an engine management system. Pay up front for complete control while eliminating the MAF restriction. Estimated peak torque and Hp #'s would be cool.
The thing about going this route is there are no plug and play systems that I can detect for TR's. Can anyone rate on a scale of 1-10 the level of difficult involved in installing one of the F.A.S.T stand alones?
