Would a MAF sensor from a 93-97 camaro-firebird equip with a 5.7 liter LT1 engine work on the buick translator? or does it have to be one from a IMPALA SS

Thanks, going to try to get one from a junk yard. maybe can get one cheap

You can get them used, $40 to $50, on this board. Or check the LS1 boards, they upgrade to the 3.5" MAF and sell their 3" MAFs.

The 3.5" LT1 MAF is different that the 3.5" LS1 MAF. It will run a little leaner, but it works fine.

The 3.5" LT1 MAF is more expensive new than the 3.5" LS1 sensor.

The 3" Impala sensor is also used on a lot of other V6 cars.

For cars faster than 12.0 I think a 3.5" sensor is the best choice.
