I put in my new translator with a 3" LT-1 MAF. Actually that MAF fits almost all GM vehicles.
The translator works fine but I had to switch MAF Base to rich to get my BLM numbers down across the board. Now my idle value seems similar to what my stock MAF was but at the high flow end the BLM number is 146 where it used to be 130-134. Is this typical. I am guessing the new one is possibly more linear. It seems like the computer is still in control but I am close to the limit within the chip.
Chip was unchanged through all of this. I have even increased fuel by 2 psi to push the BLMs down a bit.
Anyone else have his experience. Is that why the MAF WOT knob is there, to help with these things?
