Main Bearing clearance

I am looking for opinions on Main clearances:

Clevite H bearing--Street Strip Application.

I have had it both ways .001" to .003". Both held together and ran fine. Hard to understand but the .003" motor is still running and has a bunch of passes on it in another car and it also held more oil pressure. If you can get .002" I think that is optimum.
