Hello, I do not post much I can normally find all my answers in the archives but this one is killing me. I received in my shop a basket case 85 t-type. The owner attempted to do his own engine swap. the problem is he says he cannot get the harness to reach the sensors. I have looked at it and found he has ran the harness along the evaporator case then behind the turbo. I have looked at pics and can see that the harness runs under the a/c compressor. But that is when I get lost. I can not see where it goes after that. Also where is the proper ground locations for the car? Currently he has them on the back of the passenger cyl head but that doesn't sound correct for a hot air car. any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Engine harness splits and runs on the driver's side fender and under the coil pack. There is nothing on the firewall.

There are ground wires on a bolt under the ac/alternator bracket that hold them. There are two ground bolts on the driver's side firewall. I dont see any ground wires going to the passenger side head. My pictures in my sig may/or may not help.

Hope this little bit helps ya.. :)

eng. harness

In simple terms-- an 87 harness runs behind the intake--an 85 runs in front of the intake. Starting at the fire wall ( opposite the fuse box ) the harness runs on top of drivers fender toward front of eng. It goes over to eng. and over the power steering pump, under the coil, over the front cover and down toward the oil pressure sending unit. There are a bundle of ground wires that go through the bottom bolt holding the ac bracket on. ( these must be GOOD grounds ) From there up to top of pass. side inner fender and into ECM. Clear as mud!! Best of luck
